What We Do
We apply fertilizer and weed control on a 5 to 7 application schedule from early spring through late fall. Each application is timed to what the turf actually needs at that point in the season: pre-emergent in spring before crabgrass germinates, broadleaf weed control when dandelions and clover are actively growing, slow-release fertilizer through summer to feed the lawn without pushing excessive growth, and a winterizer in late fall to build root strength before the ground freezes.
The difference between a lawn that looks good all season and one that peaks in May and fades out is consistent, correctly timed applications.
What We Treat
We treat common central Indiana lawn problems including crabgrass, dandelions, clover, broadleaf weeds, and general turf thinning from compaction and nutrient deficiency. If your lawn has specific problem areas or a history of grub damage, we assess that at the first visit and adjust the program accordingly.
Pairing Applications with Aeration
Fertilizer and weed control work significantly better on aerated turf. If your lawn hasn’t been aerated in the last year or two, pairing the two services is the highest-value thing you can do for it. We offer both and can schedule them together.

Tip: Apply when soil temperatures reach 55°F, but avoid applying if you plan to plant grass seed

Action:Apply a slow-release summer fertilizer.
Purpose:Nourishes the lawn without causing excessive, rapid blade growth, and adds stress-relieving nutrients to help the grass survive summer heat.
Tip:You can often bundle this with a granular insecticide if grubs or nuisance insects are an issue in your area.
Action:Apply a fall fertilizer and spot-treat any remaining broadleaf weeds.
Purpose:This is the best time of year to repair summer damage. The nutrients help thicken the turf and prepare it for overseeding if necessary.
Action:Apply a winterizer fertilizer.
Purpose:The most important step for root development. It pushes nutrients deep into the soil so the lawn builds strong roots to survive the winter and greens up much faster the following spring
