What We Do
Sod installation gives you an instant lawn. We grade and prep the soil, lay the sod in staggered joints so seams don’t wash out, and make sure edges are tight against walks and beds. Most residential sod jobs are complete in one day.
Lawn seeding is the right call when you want a specific grass variety, you’re covering a larger area on a budget, or you’re overseeding thin turf to thicken it up. We use a slice seeder to get seed-to-soil contact, which is what separates a seeding job that takes from one that doesn’t.

What to Expect After Installation
Sod needs consistent moisture for the first two to three weeks while roots establish. Keep foot traffic off it and water daily if there’s no rain. Most sod is ready for light mowing in three to four weeks.
Seeded lawns take longer. Germination in central Indiana typically runs 10 to 21 days depending on grass type and soil temperature. Fall seeding between late August and mid-October is the best window for cool-season grasses like Kentucky Bluegrass and Tall Fescue.
